The one-week Groomer course is particularly suitable for getting a more detailed picture of this profession. During this 5 days you will work with the dog and learn the basics of modern dog care such as bathing and blow-drying techniques, cutting claws, eye and ear care, paw and face shearing and much more.

With this course model, you will learn the basics of dog grooming for all common breeds. Material knowledge, correct bathing, blow-drying, preparatory work such as clipping claws, plucking ears and unmatting are intensively trained here. 

You will learn from day one with one of our qualified trainers directly on the dog. From acceptance, through customer consultations, different types of Breedstandards or Pet Clip cuts (cheeky short hair cuts according to customer requirements), as well as breed-typical scissors, trimming, removing undercoat and dog wellness offers such as Thalassotherapy or medical baths.

You will receive our FINO Top Groomer training folder as training-accompanying learning material, There is a guide for all topics such as pricing, breed examples, working on difficult dogs, parasites, customer discussions, tips for shop fittings and much more. 

Upon completion you will receive two modern and decorative certificates: 

our FINO BASIC GROOMER CERTIFICATE and 

the FINO DOG WELLNESS CERTIFICATE

With this course model, you learn all the building blocks from Level 1. After three weeks, we determine a learning status check to identify any deficits and to work on them. At this level you work on a wide variety of breeds using the latest techniques in breed standard and pet clip around cut lines and styling. We also demonstratet the professional cutting, clipping, brushing of pedigree and mixed breed cats.

More efficient and targeted work is the focus here. Cosmetic ultrasonic tartar removal with the Emmi-Pet and manual scaler.

You will receive a cost calculation program with a profitability forecast. Basics for preparing your bookkeeping. Useful tips for advertising and marketing, as well as search engine optimization. Tips for designing your flyers, index cards, business cards and bonus cards.

Help with social media and online marketing. You will receive our extended FINO professional groomer training folder and the FINO model dog reports, which will support you in pictures and writing during and after the training.

In addition, you will learn advanced and modern cutting techniques, such as cutting over the comb, various thinning techniques, cutting dogs completely with scissors and much more.

We also offer you the option of expanding your range of services to include horse grooming. This extra service gives you the oppertunity to stand out from your direct competitors. We will train you in the various types of shearing, patterns, as well as tournament fitting in all categories. With the completion of this course, the start of succsessful self-employment will be particular easy for you, as you can work on your accuracy and speed in grooming the dog independently in the additional 2-4 weeks.

For each of our courses we offer you a business plan template in an Excel table with all the important points for self-employment for an additional charge of 300,-€.
